What is the Pentatonic Scale and What is a Pentatonic Flute

This sun pitch- is based on the A-
the two different pitches
are called the 440 compromise-
they did this- raising the scale slightly- in order
to bring all the orchestral insturments into tune-
So any classical music you hear now is is slightly off-and has been formatted....
and would sound differently if it was played in the lower scale as originally intended.
Consequently- the Schiller society is against this and has proven that
the new scale tuning has destroyed-and continues to destroy the human voice.
A really interesting topic.
As a sound therapist I keep it in in the original Pythagorean octave and do not use the newer scale for healing-
For learning- the brain has the ability to compartmentalize tones-
that means that it will hear an A- for quite a few different hz-or cycles per second and then will round up or down to the next tone-
So, for the human ear and brain-it is fine to learn both-but if the intention is healing and keeping and honoring the Pythagorean methodology-then of course, the old scale or original is better.....
